Frankie likes movies. We're not up to the Godfather Trilogy yet but we're making progress. Her current favorite is Madagascar. And, if you know 3-year olds, they tend to watch their favorite movies quite a bit. Sometimes until the DVD seems to be wearing out. After Christmas, we hit the Cinderella phase for what seemed like a viewing once a night for a straight month. Well, we've moved on and now Madagascar is her new favorite. The difference with this one is I think she'll actually get tired of it before me. It's hilarious. It's also rated PG for some silly reason. It's a part of the nighttime routine I look forward to.

Depicted is a scene from the movie. The penguins, after escaping NY for Antarctica, realize it's too cold and come to visit our main characters in sunnier climes.

Confess, Not All Ideas are Complicated.

I spend too much time trying to think up the next new thing. I guess it's a just an intellectual hobby. I haven't taken a look lately at the Technorati Top 100 Blogs until today and noticed Post Secret has climbed into the 3rd spot at the time of this entry! He passed Kos!!!!

Look at that site. There's no fancy coding, no comments, Blogger template-out-of-the-box, but it's an awesome idea; kind of a pictorial version of my other favorite: Group Hug.

When an idea is good, it's good. Sophisticated execution with behind-the-scenes tools help but Post Secret is just one of those ideas that can't be contained.

I applaud its creator.

Dinner, Dancing, Bath and a Movie

Mom went to the opera tonight. Frankie and I had spaghetti and broccoli, shared a pear and ate oatmeal cookies. We then listened and danced to some Putamayo kids reggae tunes, she was bathed, we watched Cinderella and I read her Madeline stories. A full night for us both I'd say.

What would you write? How sad.

Anyone see their gas bill? Half the month was unseasonably warm and it was the highest month we've ever paid. Ouch.
