Just call 311

Columbus has a neat service in which you can schedule bulk pick-up for items (too big for weekly pickup). I tried to schedule it and told them I had 30-something trash bags full of paper plus some other non-construction-material trash. Here's the nifty response I received.
This was not turned in for bulk pickup it was sent to Code Enforcement for Health violations. The items described are not bulk pick up and needs to be disposed of by the owner contacting a private hauler. See service request #xxxxxxxxx at If you have any further questions please e-mail us or contact our 311 Call Center, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 645-3111.
Right. Bags and bags of crumbly paper. Health Hazard. Code Violation. Thanks.

Hooray for taxes.

After an email to the Mayor's Action Line, suddenly the folks turned my egregious pile of hazardous waste/code violation into a simple refuse pickup request. They're coming tomorrow.

Update (again)
My million bags of refuse, tacky xmas decor and broken bookcases was picked up completely as of this morning! Thanks!
