I thought having a child would help with managing a dog

Bribery is the only reason Frankie and I survived the past 7 years.  For some reason, it's not working on Scoopy who, in her second week, is not exactly directing her 60 pound frame in directions I hope.  Even with treats.

After we got home, I pushed her on the hardwood floor (fortunately very smooth floor) about 70 feet into her crate.  It was a fun walk.
