Search terms matter

In the grim face of an expensive strut replacement, I wanted to verify the rationale the guy gave me when he informed me of a $700 strut replacement. He said the tread wear pattern on the tires, a feathered wear pattern on the inside was a dead giveaway. That, and all else looked good was enough diagnostics to go on their merry way.

To verify this I started my search with "feathered strut" in a Google image search. That was kind of amusing (peacocks, Victoria's Secret gals, etc.). Then I specified it a bit with "feathering tire wear pattens and struts." This gave me confidence I forked over my debit card for the right reason.
