Stuart Smalley was a genius!

Holy shit. Stuart Smalley triggered a daily affirmation industry. Yes, you too can receive affirmations for only 99¢ each. Know what would make me happy? Send me 50¢, and I'll send you the same useless shit in a text message.

First one's free:
"I am a worthy human being"
... and, while you're at it, just tell your diabetes to go away (be positive) and watch how impressive the results are.

Send cash please.

Update (25-Feb-07)
Now, today's This I believe from Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips is a profoundly different message that we can all embrace with a little effort. Nothing magic, nothing stupid, just a pause and recognition of what's good in the world is worth trying. Thanks Wayne.

I guess that's what Flickrites are doing; savoring the moment.

I love the blog that you have. I was wondering if you would link my blog to yours and in return I would do the same for your blog. If you want to, my site name is American Legends and the URL is:

www.americanlegends.blogspot.com

If you want to do this just go to my blog and in one of the comments just write your blog name and the URL and I will add it to my site.

Thanks,
David

Thanks David for visiting and your comment. I like your site but my links are actually places I visit and I'm just not a sports fan - at all. I don't think I could link you. Sorry.

Wayne Coyne said, "Through the power of our own minds, we can help ourselves."

Is programming our minds via daily affirmations so we can help ourselves so different?

Just a thought. Because, doggone it, people like me.

Hi Tina,

Profoundly different. It's in the mechanism that you let your body help yourself. A pause and deep reflection about the world around you, to me at least, is infinitely different than a one-line chant to repeat.

And they charge a buck a pop. That part's just a ripoff.
