I have been going to Ohio State since 1990. I'm no dummy.
Anyway, I recall back in '93 (or was it early '94?) they closed OSU because it was something like minus 20 degrees BEFORE factoring in the windchill. This was the first time they had closed in 18 years (Also, oddly they had been open the few days prior when it was just as brutally cold). It was such a rare unheard of event in those days, some people went to class 'just to be sure'.
But over the last 5 years or so, having now returned to finish my undergrad, they've closed, what, three times now? Why're they quick to close all the sudden?
I'm not complaining, mind you. I was to take an exam in the morning that I was not even close to being prepared for. Now I have until Sunday night/Monday morning at 3am to suddenly panic and start cramming.

Bzzzt. Thanks for playing.
Ahem.
That's why I'm finally a parent, and have the power to call my own snow day.
