After "reading" The Search (audiobook, I cheated), I started branching out a bit into the competition. I'll keep adding stuff to this post.
1. images: bing image search kicks Google's ass.
2. a9.com seems to be an Amazon-based product search. I read this search takes a while to get good; it takes your history and becomes more refined with use.
